Baby Got Back

IMG_7628  Here is what happens when you let your two year old go swimming without one of those handy, dandy swimmy diapers.  We brought one along on our trip to the pond this weekend, but didn't feel like going through the effort of taking off her bathing suit and changing her diaper.

"How much water will the diaper collect, anyway?"  We naively thought.

Apparently, these Luvs diapers can hold quite a bit.  Her poor butt quadrupled in size as it soaked up half the pond that afternoon.

Kinda takes on new meaning to the phrase, "Does this bathing suit make my butt look big?"

  8. You have the best blog! Oh, and that pic. Too cute! Reminds me of mine when they get done swimming. If they are out at the lake I don't worry about swim diapers. To me it doesn't even matter. How much worse could the lake get??

  12. Oh my! We did that with my little boy, and his swim trunks were no match for the wet diaper. We picked him up out of the pool, and the clothes sunk to the bottom! Good thing he's only 2!

  17. Oh, that is so funny! I love it. We tested the Sam's brand the other day in my Mom's pool. It didn't go well. There was quite the explosion/cleanup afterwards!

  20. hahaha...I have done that many a time. Only time it's no good is if the diaper breaks. Then you have diaper gel everywhere!

  22. Back before (in the OLDEN AGES) lil swimmers, the choice was see how much the diaper holds or swim naked! My kids did both! I remember many a 'big butt' baby! Your little girl is too cute!
